Annual Events
School Recital: September
Class Presentation: November

Our introduction to dance program for very young dancers gives them a head start in dance and is based on a combination of the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing’s (CSTD) Come Dance with Me syllabi and the AcroDance Preschool Programme. Specifically designed for young children, our program encourages experiential learning through music, movement and acrobatics.

The focus of this program is to introduce physical literacy, coordination and creative movement. Similar to how the ABCs are the foundation of reading and writing, fundamental movement skills are the foundations to a healthy, active lifestyle. Skills such as jumping, skipping, galloping, rolling, balancing, throwing, dodging are integrated purposefully into dance activities and choreography so that our young students can develop these key skills. This helps with their overall cognitive and motor skill development, as well as helping them to become physically competent, confident and motivated.

This fun class does this through discovering the different dance genres of ballet, jazz and tap together, as well as introducing basic acrobatic skills. We explore stories, ideas and interpretations through music.

Children are asked to think creatively and learn how to express themselves through dance. Children also take part in our annual recital. At the end of class year, dancers are invited to take part in a class presentation segment, performing with their teacher in front of the CSTD examiner and parents.

Testimonials

My girl has attended Charlotte Marn’s school of Dance for 4 months and always looks forward to lessons on Sundays. The variety of movements taught in class excites her and she’d often return home to share what she has learnt in enthusiasm. Thank you Ms Charlotte, Ms Bernice and Ms Esther for the heart work you’ve put in to make every session so enjoyable!
Ms Ellie
My girl attended Charlotte Marn’s Dance Tots Level 1 and she thoroughly enjoyed herself. We like that Ms Charlotte instils fun into each lesson, so that the younger students can learn through play and enjoy the process. Looking forward to the tap and jazz exposure under Level 2 next year!
Mr Hansel
We love her specially designed choreography and themes which Charlotte changes every session. It excites the kids so that it won't bore them out. Most importantly Charlotte has that strong passion which really connects well with kids - a session with a personal touch. It makes my daughter look forward to her classes every week!
